Consumers demand more from Mobile Broadband

One wouldn’t think that businesses would have to change much with their internet services to provide mobile broadband with good deals, but this is a false concept. Mobile broadband payg is a separate network in a few ways. Mobile devices are smaller; therefore, the websites set up have to work on the smaller screen. They also have to load with smaller speeds and quickly. Given the needs for a “mobile internet” concept businesses have had to come up with new innovations and better websites to account to their mobile broadband users.

Consumers are already demanding that things change when it comes to the web solutions. They want to have business solutions that will fit on their screens and make it easier to find deals when they are ready to shop. Compuware is feeling the pressure and has conducted research to find out what mobile broadband users want.

They have found that those with mobile connections want web pages they can access with the mobile internet and broadband platforms. They want these pages to load just as quickly or faster than their home connections. About half of the users said they expect the web pages to be less than 3 seconds in load time. Some said they could wait for five seconds for a page to load, but no more than that. They will give up if it is more than that and not return to the page.

An official stated that there are a lot of businesses missing out because they are not able to live up to the consumer expectations regarding mobile internet. It will need to be changed if the companies have a hope of surviving.

This survey does beg the question of whether our society needs to change and not the internet. Somewhere along the way we seem to have changed to a demanding society that is not happy unless instant gratification is offered. Companies that cannot live up to that are seeing detrimental effects. Whether it is a need for society to change or not, one thing is clear: mobile broadband is highly popular and will likely grow in demand. Businesses that do not keep up with this demand will find themselves stuck in the past without a move to be made.

It is now or never for many of these companies to change if they want to survive. The more people that go for mobile devices like 4G smartphones and tablets, the more the industry will need to change. It means changing more than just the website offered. The pages are important, but so are mobile deals such as coupons that are sent to phones through SMS text messaging and other platforms.

Consumers want to be able to find what they need as they walk in the door to a restaurant or other location. If there is a deal to be had they will go to that location over another. Thus it is important for businesses to get on the mobile broadband payg train.
